ADRIEVNE FRAZlER PRIEST herman Clec Clubi: Girls Tomato Club: C-irls' Rooters' Club. Of grey matter Aid has her share And her heart is as pure as the country air. Aid has always held herself aloof from us and we really are not much acquainted with her. being as she is of such a retiring nature. When she does open her mouth. she speaks with the most fascinating southern drawl. So unassuming is she that she reminds one of the gentleman in literature. who scarcely dared assert the nose upon his face his own. Bashful and quiet, she keeps her light well hidden beneath the proverbial bushel. When this outer surface of reserve is penetrated. we find a most lovable rn-atiiri' and a friend well worth having. CARL SMITH Rooster Bill ls Carl a lady's man? Perish the thought! His hobby is raising chickens, What cares he for aught? A happy, jolly fellow, who is always in a good humor. He believes a little learning to be a dangerous thing and. therefore. does not propose to take any chances. A living example of optimism. With his cheerful, good nature and a minimum of work. he has drifted through his high school career to a successful finish, although he does abuse Cod's patience and the Kings English. He is a man who must be known well in order to be appreciated and owing to his reticenee. there are few who truly know him. Goes to the board. stands with feet two feet apart, bites his finger. writes his name, scratches his head. writes a word. faces about and asks the teacher what he is to write about. again faces the hoard -scratching his head when he is suddenly seized by a thought and eagerly tries to get it on the hoard. li-st he should lose it - but, alas. it has vanished in thin air and he is lost again. ln an agony of despair he gives up and is a continual source of amusement to his classmates-Y-Va wonderful mission. -..l,.,, A -i - ,s - Z.,-WJ. ROSALIE BERTHA SCHLAMP ANNA ROGERS VANADA ALLEN R WATKINIS Xiu President Girls Athletic Association li hcruian C-lee Club Local Editor Revue ID Girls Rooters Club Both excellent and good ls fair Rosalie: And as stylish a young lady As you may see. A glance at this fair countenance is mis- leading: so quiet. peaceful and calm, one would not suspect the fires that sometimes burn beneath Vnamely. a great admirer of Day. Very pessimistic, in that she thinks every chemistry experiment is prepared especially to murder her and therefore stays a goodly distance from the scene of action. She is among the few who can rightly be called intellectual. Self-sacrificing and ever ready to he up and dgnini for her class, she is high in the esteem o a . Nada birls Rootcrs Club ln all her work mort sinttrc Than any other: Always pleasant, kind and dear. Everyone doth love her. Behold this, our fair-haired, blue-eyed exponent of peroxide and milk weed cream. An industrious maiden of few words. Very unassuming. but one in whom you can put your trust. Never in a had humor, but wears a smile for everyone. She, perhaps. will never startle the world with a marvel, but on the other hand she will never be caught napping. She pursues the even tenor of her way and her glory is attained by keeping quiet. We have never found her, in our four years'course. otherwise than fair-minded in criticism. sound in judgment and loyal in friendship. 25 Percy Pres High c ool Bible Class I4 Associate Editor uill I5 Business Manager Boys Athletic Association: Athletic Editor Quill 'l3: Club Editor Revue 'l5. He loves the ladies. Oh! he's a true gallant. Yet he has a head for business And learning. too. l grant. This awe inspiring figure invariably makes a great hit with the ladies 'fat least that is his aim. A true ladies' man. but for all that he is a consistent worker and a better natured man never lived. lt would exhaust the supply of adjectives to enumerate Percy'sH endearing charms, so let us turn to his personal appearance. He has radiant hair that is the envy of the cherub painter's model. It is so slick that a fly endangers his life when he lights upon it. He is a perfect lady. whose melodious flute-like tones possess great charms for a deaf man. x . . -n . - 2- 1.14-35 .glg .I : -. 4, 'A-ij' .'l--i1:'.Qj:,e, U '-:v 1b'.-,'-:gil-,, i.'y!-',:f.4, 'F .CW A- 7 f 54J l-43?
