LORENE LATTA Rene ass Editor ulll I4 Citrman te ua Literary Editor Revue irs Athletic Association Girls Tomato Club Routers Cu Doubt thou the stars are fire! Doubt that the sun doth move! Doubt truth to be a liar But never doubt l love. We know this is true, and if you doubt it. just ask Owen. He can tell you all about it. We've been wondering for some time where Lorcnels class ring could so mysteriously have disappeared, but you know she could not be Owen anything, so hc received his pay. Lorcne has a very literary mind and words flow freely from her pen. When it comes to eloquence, she is right there with the goods. As to origin- ality. Lorene leads the ranks. She can think of things that have never happened and are never likely to happen. Often her thoughts soar in the clouds and leave the rest of us poor mortals gaping below. As to her abilities as a student. just examine the High School record book. If all the girls of our school were as lovable as Lorene. there would be no question as to universal harmony. He's a scholar-an orator-a literary genius ln all things excelling, he bids fair To become a great statesman. His eloquence would draw iron tears from Plato's eyes. This beaming countenance belongs to Mush, who has so successfully guided The Quill in her third year's voyage over rough waters. Also, the editor-in-chief of the Revue , He is blessed with plenty of good looks and lots of common sense, is somewhat of a lady's man and dancer. Since his Freshman year, he has been deelaiming and orating with the looks of a Caesar and the eloquence of a Demosthenes. but never has he dabbled in Athletics. Walter is a character among us. socially. physically and mentally. 21 VIALCOLVI WILBDR 'VIOSS Mossy Mack High School Bible Class Athletic Editor Revue Boys Literary Society Boys Athletic Association German Play The fair sex no attraction holds For him. RLTH DORIS MITCHELL R German Clee Clube Artist uill I Artist Revue IJ Girls Athlet1cAssociat1on l5, Girls Rooters Club. Fair as the lilies is she to behold. And assuredly worth her weight in gold For she is nature's masterpiece. She is a splendid student and a faithful friend. A good looker? Well, her picture speaks for itself on that score. Underneath those glossy, golden locks she carries a wonderful stock of knowledge, including some strikingly artistic ideas. Always a jolly, good friend, ready to help whenever she can. Those dark lashes and net of golden hair have already ensnared one heart -so we hear. She has a wonderful weakness for Trey o' Hearts, for reasons unknown. Indeed. she is a most amiable girl. To know her is to love her. Mulmanstedt! Conscience me wwhat a name! For some information as to the significance of this trademark we have consulted Wood's Natural History. Darwin's Origin of Species, We-bster's Unabridged Dictionary and Culliver's Travels, with no result. But what is in a name? - A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet. She has a cheery disposition and a good word for everybody. Will not knock and has never been known to criticise aclass- mate unfavorably. Billy has succeeded in doing everything she ever attempted, with the exception of one thing, namely. to say the letter She invariably says w'ite for white. 22 tirls Athletic Association Cirls Class Basketball I4 I5 Writer of Class Will Did you notice a holy terror in basketball? --'Twas Queenelle. Who is more determined to be tall. When declaiming in the hall. Than Queenelle3 Her quick, excitable disposition has often afforded her classmates great amusement. An athlete of much note and as guard in basket- ball brings terror to all who cross her path, in which game she is at her best. when her anger is slightly kindled. Quite a Latin scholar and orator. While the butter-flies of the class flitted through their high school career, this candle fly buzzed around the midnight candles and as a result has made an extremely honorable record in our class. We often wonder what we would do without her to save the reputation of the class in Latin. . .- '.'-'Vff' 5' 'NN' 'ff vsQk1af1mQ:i:r- .- , '.: 'a'. ii5r - i1-2 W Wm 'Rf-f 3'f-133it'1'4L-i'-1: i Q mf F921 1 f -we .. :-.'w.:s'-..N-r,.7.,,,,,t,..,,a,.,,, 4-7-ol--fe-K - zft-- ,pf,,,,g ,. ..
