CLASS HISTGRY Four years of laughter, tears frielc hips and educa tiontl achievement are chronicled here for all posterity Remember our first nay at Barre High School? Fifty one of us were greeted by the upperclassmen who initiated us as members of the family The bark, of cour e, was worse than the bite but we were too scared to realize it Room 2 was our homero m and Mr Witt, our advisor Our first order of business wa to cle t clas officers We chose Richard Celona President Jam s Potter Vice President, Virginia Varnot Secretary and Beryl Dickson Treasurer Our first activity ss a clas was the ma azine drive We met Del Orbert who explained what it was all about anc led us to believe we could beat the seniors Two cours doing exer elses at the Ice Cream Social taught us how much experience counts During the b sketball season we were well represented with Harry Corbett Jam s Brown Walter Talancy Joe Heyes, Sam In erillo and Joe Adomaitis on the Junior Varsity Pat Larrabee, Ginger Varnot, Julie Kowza and Sonia Baker were on the Girls Junior Varsity We weze proud of Becky Bentley who made the Varsity squad In March Lanny Foss came in second in the Prize Speak ing Contest and then, to toy it all, he came in first in the Callahan Contest That spring Richard Celone Joe Adomaitis, and Walter Talancy were on the baseball team helping to make the season successful Then came final exams and summer vacation Remember the savoir faire we exhibited when we re turned in the fall as Sophomores?
