Have you ever tried reflecting the sun in a mirror? This is the same type of thing the yearbook staff has tried to do in the 1969 Mapletonian, It is a looking glass of all theinteresting things that have happened in the past school year. Some of these reflections include: the World Series, Barnum's new wing, the Bailey Benefit Game, A Christmas Carol, the football season, and the water ballet show, to name a few. We hope we got clear images of everything. We would like to thank every- one who made it possible and especially Mr. Vannette and Mr. Bluhm for all the pictures they took. Churchill is given credit for 'this quotation, Its use in our book this year is appropriate for the reason that Mr, Bailey, Spanish teacher and head basketball coach at Bar- num, has shown a great many of these qualities this school year. Mr, Bailey was in an accident on Thanksgiving Day and was hospital ized with the loss of one leg, Our student body and faculty responded in an honorable fashion. Money was collected by both groups. Mr. McMillan tries to dunk one while Steve Cote attempts to Mr. Bailey block the shot. 4 I
