The girls' basketball tcain has had a very successful season this year. Starting with a young team of juniors and sophoniores. Miss Nehubian shaped the girls into a winning team through tireless practice in passing. shooting. and rebounding. Their vvell-coordinated passwork. their perfected shooting. their domination on the backboards. and their invincible defense led the way to indisputable glory. Their first game. which was played against Provincetown on a visiting court, proved to be the only loss of the season against eleven victories. At a total of 574 points for the season, they scored an average of 48 points a game. As the winners of the large school rival, Sandwich, they won a smash- ing victory to cap the championship by a score of 44 to 29. XVe heartily sing the praises of our girls' basket- ball team. Victory smiles for Mascot Kathy Poole-r, Coach Kay Nehubian, and Captain Terry Bowes.
