I often wonder lf the annual message of the ad mxmstratmon IS read and If so does It stlmulate the Lhmkmg of parents and students I shall contmue on the assumption that some wlll read thxs artlcle and be mfluenced by xt to the extent that they wxll study more and xemam ln school untxl they graduate My most unhappy school experience I5 to have puoxls wlthdraw to et married Join the service or for any other reason ost of these pupils return ln a few short years wantmg to know what they can do to com plete thenr hxgh school work too late they have dxscovered that opportunmes m the world of work are denied them because they are not hugh school graduates Elther one of two replxes are gxven by parents school It 5 up to hlm what hc wants to do or We want hxm to o to school but lf he doesnt want to he may as wel qult It ts agreed that all youngsters must be glven opportumtles to make declsxons but wnen xt IS obvious that thelr d9ClSl0nS are detrlmental to thelr future they should be TOLD and not ASKED what to do Attendance ln school IS not suffxclent There must be appllcatlon to the task at hand namely STUDY The parent has a part ln seexng that a txme and place xs provided and that the chxld seeks help from teachers when needed Good learmng never happens by ac cldent The staff of the Barnsdall schools urge parents and all adults that mfluence youth to Join to'1ether to assist the youth of this community lh achtevlng to the fullest the educatxonal advantages of this school E L Beach Prmcxpal Congratulations to the Student Council and Kiss Bnggs for the edxtxon of another excellent Yearbook.
