JOE MYERS Soft spoken and gentle, yet forceful and strong, The list of his accomplishments is impressive and long. A husband and daddy, a son and a brother, A businessman, a Legionnaire, and a friend like none other. We remember him most for others he cared, ---—■'At home with his family, or Memorial Days shared. At church as he read, or the fires he fought, For furnaces fixed, or the oil he brought. The legion and station are also on the list, For some of the reasons he'll be greatly missed. To go north hunting, or fishing with a son, Were some of his ideas on how to have fun. When sickness came, as usual he fought hard and long, Without any complaining he tried to be strong, But with a certain calm and dignity, he accepted his cross, For as a veteran with faith, he knew who was boss. A small man, yet a big man who never said no, Always involved and always on the go. To all of us who loved him it should be no surprise, That hefd finish first, then be on to paradise! 5
