I'm Luiz Machado and am 17 years old. After six months here I will return to Fortaleza, Brazil. In school I study math, physics, industrial arts, sociology and art. I like it here; Barneveld has a good school. I like my teachers, my friends and my family too. I want to come back here next year because this place is fun. I will never forget these people. Thanks everybody. I clearly remember when I first came here. I saw the open earth, many cows, a big barn, and was surprised and pleased with them. I learned the Americans' life styles and customs, as well as speaking English. Everyone was very friendly and kind especially my foster family. School life was joyful. I liked volleyball very much be- cause I was a member of the team. It is a pleasant mem- ory. I wanted to stay in Barneveld longer, but I had to say goodbye to my friends. Thank you very much for your kindness. I will never forget Barneveld. SAYONARA. Love, Rinko Shimono Yukiko Miura—I came to Barneveld to study the English language and the American way of life as an IFS ex- change student from Japan last year. I enjoyed basket- ball with nice girls and I studied with a lot of kind friends. I am so happy I could be taught by wonderful teachers.
