CLASS HISTORY FRESHMEN: In August, 1963, 24 green, curious freshmen ventured through the corridors of Bameveld High School for the first time. After a wild but memorable initiation, we settled down to work under the guidance of Mr. Nelson and Mr. Sutton, with graduation in 1967 as our goal. Class officers for our first year were: Sandy Ameson, President; Shirley Forbes, Vice-President; Anita Roberts, Secretary; and Bob Watson, Treasurer. Our Fair Representative was Judy Richard and her escort was Jim Duffy. Bob Watson represented the class at Homecoming with his date Sandy Ameson. Our class enrollment was decreas- ed to 20 with the loss of Diane Burkhalter, Steve Suchomel, Ray Callahan and Duane Buckingham. SOPHOMORES: What do you know. We made it through the first trying year and eargerly anticipated our second. We hoped to accomplish this feat under the able guidance of Mr. Nelson and Mrs. Grooms. Class leaders included: Evenlyn Stenseth, President; Jeff Johnsrud, Vice-President; John Swenson, Secretary; and Larry Schaller, Treasurer. Our Fair Representative was Anita Roberts and her escort was Dennis Oimoen. John Swenson was chosen as our Homecoming Representative and his date Sandy Arenson. There were no additions or depletions in our class number. JUNIORS: As upperclassmen, our two remaining years might even be a pleasure. Mr. Nelson and Mrs. Grooms were again our class advisors. Elected officers were: President, Bob Watson; Vice-President, Dennis Oimoen; Sec- retary, Judy Richard, Treasurer, Dennis Bums. Shirley Forbes, escorted by Dennis Oimoen, was our Fair Rep- resentative. Anita Roberts, Evelyn Stenseth and Bob Handel were our Student Council Representatives. Larry Oimoen ably represented us on the Homecoming Court and his date for the evening was Janeen Peterson. King Larry Schaller and Queen Carol Johnson reigned over our Prom with Camelot as its theme. Our Junior Class play, entitled Nuts to You was, if nothing else, fun to put on. We were sorry to see Shirley Forbes and Shirley Fortman leave us but we were joined by Dennis Bums, Darlene Anderson and Tim Hook. SENIORS: Three of the best years of our life, or so we're told, are gone and we have one left to muster through. Class advisors this year were Mrs. Mullen, Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Roller. Class officers were: Bob Handel, President; Larry Schaller, Vice-President; Phyllis Fortman, Secretary; and Sandy Ameson, Treasurer. On Fair Day Phyllis Fortman reigned over her Court. Her date was Larry Oimoen. Judy Richard represented our class on the Court and her date was Bob Watson. Dennis Bums reigned as our Homecoming King and Dennis Oimoen was our class representative. Bob Handel was the Senior member of the Junior Prom. Tim Hook, Gail Hill and Larry Oimoen were Student Council members. As our school days at B.H. S. come to a close, we look back on them with joy, pride and sometimes sadness. We then hereby declare this the official history of the class of 1967. 15
