CLASS HISTORY FRESHMAN: In August 1962, thirty green but hopeful freshmen entered the pearly gates of Barneveld High School under the leadership of Mr. Kalb. After being accepted into the human race upon initiation on October 18, we elected the following officers: President, Jane Callahan; V. President, Judy Zepplin; Secretary, Gail Komplin; Treasurer, Otis Nelson. Becky Monson was elected Fair representative; she chose Lyle Komplin as her escort. Bill Jones was chosen as escort by Alice Scheopp for the Snow Ball dance. Homecoming representative was Bob Clerkin; he chose Jane Calla- han as his date. Becky Monson, Jim Eveland, and Alice Scheopp left our flock. SOPHOMORE: We're one year closer to our goal of being Seniors. Mr. Paskey and Mr. Watrud were our class advisors. Class officers elected to lead us were: President, Dave DeVoe; V. President, Linda Campbell, Secretary, Sandy Mas- sey; Treasurer, Peggy Williams. Linda Campbell was elected Fair Representative; she chose Larry Anderson as her escort. Ron Thousand picked Anita Roberts as his date for Homecoming. To our dismay Jane Callahan left us, but we were joined by Bernie Dyreson. JUNIORS: As upperclassmen, we were led by Mr. Paskey and Mr. Watrud. Class officers elected were: President, Linda Campbell; V. President, Bernie Dyreson; Secretary, Jerry Schaller; Treasurer, Judy Zepplin. Trudy Peterson was our Fair Representative and she chose George Ranney as her escort. Homecoming Representative was Dave DeVoe with his date Linda Campbell. Prom King was Jerry Schaller with his Queen Luanne Gilbertson. Our theme was Emerald Isles . Our Jr. class play, entitled The Dancing Ghost , was a very unusual kind of mystery comedy. Jenny Olson and Bill Brennum left our class. SENIORS: We've finally reached the top! ! ! Our class advisors were Mr. Paskey and Mr. O'Keefe. Class officers elected to finish our school days were: President, Sonia Schuelke; V. President, Linda Brennum; Secretary, Trudy Peter- son; Treasurer, Dianne Olson. Gail Komplin was elected our Fair Queen; she chose Bob Clerkin as her King. Donna Myers was elected Fair Representative; with her escort Bob Watson. Homecoming King was Dennis Thompson and his Queen Lola Stenseth. Ron Thousand was chosen Representative with his date Lana Oimoen. Sonia Schuelke represented the class on the Prom Court. Our class play, entitled Room Bored, was a typi- cal family comedy. Student Council: President, Bernie Dyreson; Representatives, Donna Myers and Lola Sten- seth. Our hard-working annual editors were Sandy Massey and Jerry Schaller. On June 1, 1966 we sorrowfully left our places at B.H.S. to join the ranks of our alumni. This then is the history of the proud and mighty Seniors of 66. 15
