CLASS HISTORY FRESHMEN: The month was September and the year 1961 as thirty green but determined Freshmen entered the corridors of B.H.S. for the first time. Through initiation, which was frightening but fun, we became full-fledged members of the B.H.S. clan. Our class advisors, Mrs. Zull and Mr. Sutton, helped to put us on our feet and started us toward our ultimate goal—graduation in '65. Officers for our first year were as follows: Patty Callahan, President; Russell Jones, Vice President; Larry Anderson, Secretary; and Cindy Carden, Treasurer. Phyllis Forbes was chosen as fair representative with Wally Staley as her escort. Homecoming representative was Larry Anderson and his date was Patty Callahan. All in all this was an interesting year with a loss of only one class member, Duane Burkhalter. SOPHOMORES: We are now one step closer to our goal. With the enrollment of two new students, Pat Nelson and Tom Parman we now numbered thirty-one. Our class advisor this year was Mr. Meyer. The following were chosen as class officers: Don Paulson, President; Cindy Carden, Vice President; Linda Squires, Secretary; and Gary Mueller, Treasurer. School fair representative was Cindy Carden and her escort was Jim Helgeson. For Homecoming, Tom Par- man represented our class. His date was Peggy Williams. JUNIORS: Hurray, we are half way through and it won't be long now. Class officers this year were: Cindy Carden, Presi- dent; Bruce Hughes, Vice President; Caryl Sutton, Secretary; and Gary Mueller, Treasurer. Our class advisors were Mr. Erdman and Mr. Zablocki. Many important and exciting events occurred this year. First of all came initiation which proved to be quite fun for everyone. Ordering and gaining possession of our class rings made everyone quite proud and happy. An event which was enjoyable for all was our Junior class play which was entitled, Pick a Dilly. Finally the event came which we had all been eagerly anticipating—Junior Prom. Our theme was April Showers. Every- one readily agreed it was very beautiful, especially the Juniors. Caryl Sutton reigned as Queen and Gary Mueller as King. Fair representative for this year was Caryl Sutton, who chose Tom Parman as her escort. Bruce Schuelke was chosen as Homecoming representative and his date was Judy Zepplin. We were all sad to see Patty Callahan leave us. SENIORS: Now after three hard but exciting years we have reached the top of the ladder. SENIORS AT LAST !! ! Our class advisors once again are Mr. Erdman and Mr. Zablocki. The following were elected to head our class through this last and final year: Wally Staley, President; Tom Parman, Vice President; Sherry Oimoen, Secretary; and Linda Squires, Treasurer. Don Pate joined us at the beginning of the year but left us a few weeks later. We are also minus three other classmates—Mavis Osborn, Helen Fortman, and Cindy Carden. Mary Ann Moen reigned as Queen on Fair day and Lyle Komplin as King. Pat Richards was representative and her escort was Tom Parman. Our class play The Perfect Idiot was a success with everyone knowing their parts well. Now, with our high school days drawing to a close, we have many memorable experiences which we can look longingly back on but the one which will remain foremost in our minds for many years to come is our wonderful trip to Washington, D.C. 12

CLASS WILL We the Seniors of 1965 of Barneveld High School, being of sound mind and memory, do here- by declare this to be our last will and testament: To the Freshmen, we will our eagerness to learn. To the Sophomores, our happy and carefree ways. To the Juniors, we will the fond memories we have of our past four years at B.H.S. and hope they have just as many. I, Larry Anderson, will my ability to play first cornet to Greg Gerke. I, Phyllis Forbes, will my cheerleading outfit to Jeanean Peterson in hopes she will have as much fun as I have had. I, Bruce Hughes, will my ability to fall asleep in Class to anyone who wants to get caught. I, Charles Humphery, will my ability in football to my brother Leo. I, Russell Jones, will my ability to get in trouble to Ted Tilley who already has a good start. I, Lyle Komplin, will my love of band to Bobby Watson who loves it too.
