We became full-fledged members of B.H.S. through the terrifying process of initiation. Somehow, mainly through the help of our advisor, Miss Ellen Danielson, we recovered. We elected the following class of- ficers: President—Rick Anderson, Vice President--John Kole, Secretary—Natalie Symons, Treasurer — Delores Ryan, Reporter—LaVon Dudd and Student Council—Rita Brattlie and Jim Helgeson. Our Fair Representative was Alona Humphrey, and her escort was Ron Fargo. Representing our class on the Home- coming Court, was Rick Anderson and his date Geanyce Burreson. During the year, Joe Jones entered our class and John Kole moved in the summer. SCENE II. Experienced Sophomores Well, in September, 1960, we were one step closer to our goal. Our class advisors were Mr. James Nel- son and Mr. Donovan Fried. Our class officers were: President—Judy Moyer, Vice President—Bill Cler- kin, Secretary—Jim Helgeson and Treasurer—Bob Week. Our Fair Representative was Judy Moyer and escorting her was Jerry Darrow. On the Homecoming Court it was Bob Week and his date Joyce Budd. This year our class lost two members in Gary Jones and Natalie Symons. SCENE III. Proud Juniors Ah, Juniors at last, and half way there! This was a big year in our high school career. Elected to lead us were: President—Joe Jones, Vice President—Dolores Ryan, Secretary—Donna Vollen and Treasurer — LaVon Budd. Our advisors again were Mr. Nelson and Mr. Fried. We started off the year with Freshman initiation, which was a real blast. (For us that is) Some of our big thrills were receiving our class rings and our class play entitled, Man Overboard, which was a tremendous success under the worthy direction of Mrs. Zull. The biggest thrill of the year was our Junior Prom. Our theme, Moonlight Bay, went over real big and it was a very beautiful affair. Dennis Amble and Kay Gallahan were king and queen. Our Fair Representative was Dolores Ryan and her escort Don Williams. Bill Clerkin represented us on the Homecoming Court and his date was Geanyce Burreson. During the year, Bill Wienbrenner joined us and Judy Moyer and Fred Leuthold left us. SCENE IV. Almighty Seniors Finally, we are Seniors! Our goal is almost reached. Darlene Forbes, Gordy Dimpfl and Dale Williams left us. Jerry Theobald joined us, thus formulating our present enrollment of 25. The officers elected to lead us out of high school were: President--Bill Clerkin, Vice President—Jim Segegrecht, Secretary-- Alona Humphrey and Treasurer--Kay Callahan. As for class advisors, Mr. Nelson again had the honor and he was joined by Mr. Lester V. Sutton. For the School Fair, LaVon Budd was chosen Queen and her escort was Bob Week. Kay Callahan, our representative on the Fair Court, chose Dennis Amble to escort her. This year the traditional Homecoming dance was changed from basketball season to football season. Bob Schaller was our king and he chose Deede Ryan as his queen. On the Court was Jim Helgeson and his date Sue Harris. Instead of the Homecoming in January, we had a mid-winter dance. Both dances were huge successes. Also, very successful, was our Senior Class play held in March. Another big job during our senior year was the Annual. This was done under the able direction of LaVon Budd. For our class trip we went to Washington, D.C. This was not only a real thrill, but educational as well. As we look back on these happy, busy days at B.H.S., we realize that every minute was enjoyed. But now we look forward to what the future holds.???? 12 CLASS WILL We the Seniors of 1963 of Barneveld High School being of sound mind and memory do hereby declare this to be our last will and testament: To the Freshman, we will our willingness to learn; to the Sopho- mores we will our good behavior as an example for them to follow; to the Juniors we will the empty seats that we have so sadly left behind us.
