C o s i-ftitouj In September 1958 twenty-four frightened and dumfounded Freshmen entered the depths of this con- crete institution. Theodore Boucher was our class advisor. We were accepted into the human race upon our initiation which was frightening for some but enjoyable for all. The following were elected as class officers: President: Donna Jones, V. President: Wanda Humphrey, Secretary: John Hughes, Treasurer: Diane Holmes, Student Council: Douglas Theobald, Class Reporter: Larry Marty. During the year Karen and Gene Beckwith left us and Terry Cleary and Bob Keene joined us to keep our enrollment at 24. Kathy Burdick was elected our Fair Queen candidate and Dave Ranney escorted her. Sue Arneson was our Homecoming representative and Don Budd escorted her. Our sophomore year brings us one year closer to the ultimate goal. Mr. Theodore Boucher was again our advisor. Class officers were: President: Wanda Humphrey, Vice President: Jerry Darrow, Secretary: Mary Stenseth, Treasurer: Sue Arneson, Student Council: Douglas Theobald and Don Williams, Class Reporter: Bob Keene. Our school Fair Representative was Janet Osborn. Her escort was Gary Burdick. Representative for the Homecoming was Les Paulson and his date was Wanda Humphrey. Our class changed tradition by ordering and receiving our class rings. Throughout the year our enrollment re- mained the same. We're halfway there as Juniors. Mr. Maurice McCormick joined Mr. Theodore Boucher in his role of class advisor. Officers elected were: President: Judy Olson, V. President: Jerry Darrow, Secretary: Mary Stenseth, Treasurer: Donna Jones. School Fair Representative was Lauretta Nelson, she was escorted by Ollie Sutton. Homecoming Representative was Tom Arneson, his date was Bonnie Duffey. On April 22 our class held it's Prom entitled Bali Hai which proved to be very exciting and beautiful for every- one. King Bob Harris asked Kathy Burdick to reign with him as queen. The Court of Honor was: Douglas Theobald and Sue Arneson, Lane Theobald and Rebecca Watson, Bob Keene and Delores Leuthold, Lauretta Nelson and David Leuthold, Russell Moyer and Donna Vollen. May 1 our class play Curtain Going Up was hurried and hectic but a fantabulous success. During our Junior year Jim Battle joined us for a short period of time before moving elsewhere. Upon arriving at our Senior year everyone was a little unhappy to learn that Sharon Burns had moved to Madison during the course for the summer. A short while later Kathy Burdick and Jerry Darrow left us and our enrollment decreased to 21. The officers we elected during our Senior year were President Don Williams, V. President Bob Keene, Secretary Wanda Humphrey, Treasurer Diane Holmes. Our Fair Queen was Janet Osborn. Eddie Doescher reigned with her as king. Our class play, Papa Says No, which was held Nov. 1 was so entertaining that upon popular request we presented it again on Dec. 2. Doug Theobald and Sue Arneson reigned as king and queen of our Homecoming, held Feb. 9 with Bob Leyson providing the music. The Court of Honor consisted of Bob Harris and Donna Vollen, Bill Clerkin and Geanyce Burreson, Jeff Olson and Dianne Arneson, Larry Anderson and Patty Callahan. Don Wil- liams represented the class on the Prom Court. On Tuesday, May 29 we donned our caps and gowns and bade farewell to B.H.S. This, then, is the background of the proud and mighty seniors of 62. 12
