CLASS HISTORY September 2, 1952 thirty happy but bothered freshmen walked up the stairs of Barneveld High School. Under the leadership of Mr. Schaefer they started their journey. Jim Reuter entered from Richland Center making our class membership 31. We all waited in fear of initiation and it is a day we won't easily forget. We elected the following class officers: President, Larry Jabs; Vice-President, Dick Theobald; Secretary, Arbutus Bohle; Treasurer, Avis Poast; Class Reporter, Charlotte Enloe; Student Council, Walter Campbell. We are now Sophomores and not nearly as green as we were last year at this time. We lost Ronald Gordon, Mary Evans, Ronnie Opsal our Sophomore year. We elected the following officers: President, Dick Dauck; Vice-President, Stan Wetter; Secretary, Arbutus Bohle; Treasurer, Monica Ryan; Student Council, Paul Hel- geson; Class Reporter, Larry Jabs; and Mr. Mandel had the privilege of advising us. Juniors, we're going to make it yet. We lost Jim Reuter during the summer and Charlotte Enloe, Avis Poast, Bill Hosking during our Junior year. Jackie Berg entered from Stoughton and Barbara Burns from Arena. The first big event of our Junior year was the receiving of our class rings. Next was initiating the freshman. Our Junior Class Play was entitled One Wild Night. The biggest event of the year was Our Prom entitled Moonlight and Roses held on April 22. Le Roy Evans was King and he chose Monica Ryan as his Queen. We elected the following officers in our Junior year: President, Le Roy Evans; Vice-President, Dick Theobald; Secretary, Arbutus Bohle; Treasurer, Larry Jabs; Class Reporters, Paul Helgeson, Marian Meyer; Student Council, Bernard Henry; Mrs. Owens was our advisor. Seniors, we're nearly there now. The first job of the year was to get started with our Annual. We sponsored the Basketball Homecoming on January 13. The King was Jim Erickson and he chose Marilyn Paulson for his Queen. Our Senior Class Play was held on March 9, it was entitled Maybe You're Wrong. ” We elected the following officers: President, Paul Helgeson; Vice-President, Dick Theobald; Secretary, Stan Wetter; Treasurer, Monica Ryan; Class Reporter, Karen Duffey; Student Council, Le Roy Evans. We lost Roger Mueller during our Senior Year. Miss Mullen was our advisor. Taking everything into consideration the last four years have proven to be pretty wonderful and we have really enjoyed our last year in a wonderful new school.
