THIRD ROW: Frank Short, Joseph Ryan, James Leary, David Opsal, Bob McSherry, Bud Erickson. ABSENT: Vernon Kelly, Marlene Clemo, and Faythe Swacina. GIRLS’ GLEE CLUB With one hour for rehearsal each week we were able to learn three part harmony for a number of selections and participated in the Christmas Program and Spring Music Concert here at home, and also entered class C competition at the District Music Festival at Mineral Point on April 22nd. Several members of the Glee Club also entered as solo contestants in either voice or piano or both. 28

SECOND ROW: Beth Meili, Viletta Arneson, Betty Anderegg, Mary Grimstad, Jannette Sawle, Delores Rolstad, Irene Week, Carol Friedli, Charlotte Frame, Elizabeth Dimpfl, Helen Meili, Billy Olson, Carol Eveland. THIRD ROW: Abigail Sawle, Frank Short, Bud Erickson, Jane Klusendorf, Ronald Goke, Barry Watkins, Marjorie Grimstad, Helen Zepplin, Jerry Watson, Danny Williams. BAND Much new talent this year was necessary to fill the ranks depleted by so many Seniors graduating in 1949. Our two rehearsals each week were lots of fun and we were able to furnish music for the Armistice Day and Christmas Programs as well as put on a Spring Concert and participate in the District Music Festival at Mineral Point on April 22nd. Several Members participated also as soloists or in instrumental ensemble groups. 29
