ng'77 The 1977 Homecoming Pag- eant had all of the style of Home- comings gone by, a credit to Mrs. Timmons and the clubs who worked hard to prepare for the event. The tension started as the clubs nominated their candi- dates and built through the next two weeks. Then, a few days before the Homecoming game, the clubs and candidates held their annual Homecoming Assembly. The clubs presented their skits, full of comedy and forgotten lines. Then, the candi- dates paraded before the stu- dent body in formal dress. Now, it was up to the student body to vote for their queen. Finally, as the Shamrocks were soundly defeating Bellaire St. John’s, Ann Plumly was declared Barnesville High School’s 1977 Homecoming Queen.

“Bye Bye Birdie Some personal opinions of a few main characters: “Playing a part in the play, I know the hard work and long hours that were put into it. The general reaction of the play was overwhelming to me and the public. A play like this boosts the moral of the towns’ people and taxpayers and leaves a good impression of the school.” — A. Logan “The production was one of the best things that has ever come out of B.H.S.. . . I learned a lot and made many friends in the school. . .It would be nice to come and see a musical next year.” — J. Grimes “By being apart of the musical, many of us realized the special talents that had been hidden within ourselves. With each performance, a stronger unity seemed to form between us, as we cheered each other on, and felt a strong pride in our production. Now, after all is finished, we can smile upon those long months of practice and know that is was worth it.” — P. Gallagher
