lHEI936BARNARDBRIC is -fe ref tif w+efe5wsx.9w farms ee'--e Cottage School KAMATICS, in the informal sense, is part of the everyday life of the boys and girls in the Cottage School. The Nursery Children have frequently enacted favorite Mother Goose rhymes-each one in the group having a Q NV, turn in the stellar role, be it Baa-baa Black Sheep or Old King Cole. The kindergarten children not only have enjoyed dramatizing verse, but have often played games which develop the skill of acting. Storekeeper, with a cash register full of change, has been the most popular. One of the most interesting projects of the first grade children centered around the study of Indian civilization and culminated in an Indian war dance around a Wigwam which the children had made. The costumes they wore were designed and made by the children after visiting the Natural History Museum. This year for the second time, the Cottage School presented the Children's Christmas Pageant. The story cf the birth of Clirist was told by the singing of old familiar carols arranged in story sequence. For weeks the children lived the old Bible story in their imaginations and as a consequence the Christmas season was greatly enriched for them. -7 WWW - Va. - . 4 r - 'f '?e?q?NE4il,Q'P':u Q A 'fzitwigmaisi'-'V lavfgriiitlw- I iy roi c

Last September the present club was practically nil, has appeared, quite successfully, at several important Barnard functions, the chief one being the Fiftieth Anniversary Ball at the Waldorf-Astoria. Although many of the present vocalists graduate, the remaining students should very successfully entertain many with their fine songs. Those graduating will remember and appreciate the valuable training received under the direction of Mr. Greenfield.
