Class Ensiorg On the third day of September l9H8, a class of nine very green freshmen entered Barnard Rural High School to begin their high school education The seniors of that year had a great time initiat ing us They treated us to a watermelon feed and roller skating at Beloit Class officers chosen for the year were: Don Blanding, president, Bill Watson, vice president, Mary Lola Jackson, secretary treasurer Mr Lindberg was our class sponsor A new member, Bill Purdy of Oklahoma, joined our rank The class officers were: Mike Keating, president, Bill Purdy, vice president, Mary Lola Jackson, secretary treasurer Mary Lola Jackson and Bill Watson were representatives of the newly organized student council Mrs Jackson was class sponsor The class sold magazines for the Curtis Publishing Company The Juniors returned with their original number of nine Bill Purdy transferred to Adrian, Missouri Class officers were, Mike secretary treasurer, Mary Lola Jackson and Norman Bird student council members The class served at basketball games during he year to raise money for a banquet The class play HAlways In Troublen, was presented November 16 in the high school auditorium under the direction of Miss Daldrup XHawa11an Memoriesn was used as the theme of the junior senior banquet, pril 21 Our last year brings us many memories and activities Class officers werex Mike Keating, president, Bill Watson, vice president, Robert O'Neill secretary treasurer, Mary Lola Jackson and Norman Bird student council representatives Mr Middleton and Mr Bennett are co sponsors of the class Mary Lola Jackson was chosen to reign as queen at our home coming football game Mary Lola also participated in the one act plays both in her junior and senior year. Bill Watson and Mike Keat ing were co captains during football season The class of 1952 leaves Barnard High School with many memories and hopes for a bright future 6 O 0 0 Keating, president, Don Blanding, vice-president, Robert O'Ne1ll,

Class Drophecg Times 1962 Place Bill Watson's home in Barnard Occasions Class reunion ten years after graduation Mr Michael Keating, unmarried is playing shortstop for the New York Yankees in the retired Scoo er R1zzuto's position Mr Bill Watson, married to Evel Barrett, is living west of Barnard raising purebreds Ctwo legged Mr Don Blanding, married to Revonda Bird, is playing center for the Minneapolis Lakers Mr Robert O'Neill, owns a cattle ranch in Montana H has been married eight times and at the present time is single Miss Mary Lola Jackson set a new swimming record for women in the United States and is now entered in the Olympics She was the first woman to swim the English Channel under water Mr Jarvis O'Ne1ll living four miles southeast of Barnard is raising purebred Angus e is married to Sharon Streeter of Lin coln Mr Stanley Rees, his wife and 6 children are residing in Hollywood and getting along fine They have been remarried 12 times and are now on their 13th round Mr Rees is also engaged in the picture industry Mr Norman Bird is now owner of the Bird Wholesale Grocery Distributors known from coast to coast Mr Arthur Brockway after being discharged from the United States Marines, is now engage in the night club business in Datoma Beach Florida He owns the little known N00 Club which is now fam ous all over the world for its soft drinks CLASS OFFICERS Mike Keating President Robert O'Neill Secretary treasurer Mary Lola Jackson Student Council Norman Bird Class Colors Maroon and White Class Flower American Beauty Rose C1858 Motto A quitter never wins, a winner never quits ' E . .
