The Associate Alumnae serve the College in three ways: by interpreting Barnard to the community; by keeping secondary school stu- dents informed about Barnard; and by aiding in the support of the College. Mrs. Mary A. Bliss is the Executive Secretary. Mrs. Rita Kelley is Secretary. The Placement Office, maintained by the College as a service to stu- dents and alumnae, offers assist- ance in obtaining full and part-time positions during and after college. As seniors, we appreciate more each day the work of Mrs. Ethel S. Paley and her staff. 23

The Wollmun Library is the scholarly center of the College. In its peaceful atmosphere, girls do research, study, read, listen to music, and look at fine arts prints. The library staff, headed by Mrs. Esther Greene, is always help- ful and cooperative.
