College Assemblies All-college assemblies offer full, rich, and entertaining programs. Barnard, as a metro- politan college, is particularly fortunate in being able to invite many distinguished speakers and performers in the arts, sci- ences and humanities. The assemblies at- tempt to give to Barnardites practical in- sight in applying a college education to future endeavors. Assemblies afford the oc- casion to hear statesman and scientist, poet and philosopher, achieving a balance be- tween the theoretical and actual.
