Her wise understanding as our adviser and friend has enriched our years at Barnard, lightening our problems and indicating our poten- tialities. One of the nicest things about Dr. McGuire is her sane and candid sense of humor, which carries through from class- room to counselling. We see in her the poise and balance we would all like to achieve. Knowing her, we are not amazed by the aplomb with which she carries off her increasing adminis- trative responsibilities. Because of her kindness to us, her service to Barnard, and her charm, the class of 1951 mingles affection with its admiration for Dr. McGuire.
