With academic changes in the offing, Cur- riculum Committee has taken on new im- portance this year. It holds open meet- ings, distributes questionnaires, and works with the faculty in order to bring our ideas on what we want to study out of the hallways into the classrooms . . . Curriculum Committee. They ponder the necessity of English A and Hygiene. Eligibility Vocational committw Eligibility notches to see that none of us takes on more than our share of extra-curric. Vocational Committee, which eagerly sponsors jobs conferences and helps undergraduates in their dealings icith the more material world.

Executive Committee of the Residence Halls — Betsy Leeds, President . Council, are responsible for seeing that midnight fire drills run smoothly . . . There is considerable sympathy under the formidable exterior of the black- robed senior proctor, who patrols the halls during exams or decides what shall be the fate of a soph who consistently misses class meetings . . . Honor Board is the bulwark of Barnard ' s Honor Sys- tem, seeing that reported instances of dishonesty are thoroughly investigated, hearing every side of a case, and above all seeking to improve the system accord- ing to the desires of the student body. Bambi Elliott and the members of Honor Board help demonstrate the merits of the Honor System at Barnard. Sunday morning funny-papers. Senior Proctors watch the ballot boxes and help students cast their votes for undergraduate officers. 19
