Although the sights of the Class of '60 will soon fade and disappear from the halls of Barker, we will always have many memories of our home port and our fellow mates and cap- tains. As we charter our future onward into I.ife's Voyage, there will always be wonderful memories of our past voyage: the rough oceans and the calm seas through which we've been patiently guided by those at the B.C.S. helm. Missing: Co- arsit Football The Varsity men have certainly seen much action while playing in the Niagara Orleans League these past two seasons. The competition is much keener, but the boys have played a better brand of football in spite of this. Football fans have watched a team which has the ability to take it and dish it out. Sportsmanship was an outstand- ing quality in the Raiders play and was duly recognized by representatives from other schools in the area. Fine coaching and management proved to be very help- ful in giving the boys the needed drive to win. Many times the grid team came from behind and showed their fine points as they would rush their opponents at the line of scrimmage. Fine defensive play coupled with fine offensive play brought the Raiders to the close of another hard-fought season. I 'f 'X ...-- ? S. history has a Jayvee team been represented in football competition. Many new fresh- men and sophomores turned out this past season for a chance to learn the fundamentals of football play. Because of the determination to make a good showing for their first year in the Niagara Orlean League play, the squad went on to break open their opposition and wind up with a 3-l record. The team allowed only six points to the Starpoint jay- vees as they captured their first victory, 13-6. Their only defeat came when Newfane bested them in a hard fought game, 15-0. The boys, with revived confidence, then went on to stun their last two opponents, Wfilson and Roy-Hart, with scores of 13-0 and 6-0, respectively. Due to fine coaching and maturing ability, the team should continue to be rough competitors in future years as Varsity men. Spomored by BARKER DRUG STORE NIAGARA SUPPLY CO., INC. This was again evidenced by the B.C.S. Raiders during the 1959-1960 basketball season. The squad's fiery determination and spirit brought them recognition as one of the most well-rounded teams in Niagara Orleans competition. Such essentials as a feared offense and a crafty defense led the Barker team to crowd-gripping victories over many rugged com- petitors. The Raiders fans have witnessed another vic- torious year for the squad as they went on for the sec- ond straight time into sectional competition. It is the hope of everyone in B.C.S. that future teams will show the spark and harmony that will lead them to such fine results as were accomplished by this year's squad.
