ERE UP 55 We twelve sa1lors have started to sa1l Through four years of hlgh school we hope wrthout fall On 1n1t1at1on day the sophomores made therr attack To see rf sportsmcxnshlp we drd lack When at last we pased that test We sponsored a party for some rest We docked our shrp and started to run To our Valentlnes dance whlch was lots of fun As we marched aboard to contlnue on We called roll to see that no one was gone F1ISl of our crew came Captarn Kay All the boys w1shed she would pass therr way Next 1n l1ne was ludy L Shes a grrl whos really swell Gerry Yeast who wrote up our laws Twlrled her baton and sang wlthout flaws The one who took care of our loot Was Lmda Kay whos really cute Sandy Lou who met Wllh other shlpmates Then theres Don the one that l1ked sports He had a g1rl ln each of the ports lane Markham who was always rn style You d fall hook lme and srnker for her cute l1ttle smlle And Imon S1k9S who d1dnt have a care All the gurls enloyed h1S platrnum blonde halr Next was Ronnre Weaver a shy l1ttle lad When he was around horses he was always glad Ioan Burkholder m our galley she l1ked to cook In school youll fmd her quretly read1ng a book Allen Srkes whos mckname was Doc Llked to Sll on deck and talk Harold Asher the l1tt1e drckens He dldnt llke grrls he just l1ked chrckens When at last we were sa1l1ng over the blue We found our number had rncreased by two FIIST was an Avon g1rl who l1ked to sew Betty Markley who grades are never low We got from Bushv1lle our beacon llght hm Russell whos so tall and br1ght And last but not least IS our sponsor who Is Mrs McEnt1re shes never blue The foghorn tooted everyone came on deck We d completed V4 of our voyage wrthout a wreck .z'.'1 XZ I . ,O W ' Liked to play ball but not to have dates.
