TRACK Lx ff 1956 TRACK TEAM Barbers H111 has successful Track season The Barbers H111 Eagles had a very successful track season rn 1955 They won the Drs trrct meet with the followrng boys placmg Johnny Gunn hrgh Jump Donme Myers and Rodney Harmon pole vault Gordon Speer shot put Gordon Speer drscus Donnre Myers Charles Dyer Hollxs Naqurn and Gor don Speer 440 Relay Gordon and Donme Myers 220 Also placmg tn the 100 yard dash were Hollrs Naqum and Gordon Speer The Eagles won second rn Regtonal meet and the followmg represented Barbers H111 at the state meet rn Austin Donme Myers won a fourth rn Pole Vaultmg Gordon Speer recerved thrrd tn the 100 yard dash and second rn the 220 dash The team of Naqurn Myers Speer and Dyer won second U1 the 440 Relay The total of the pomts won by these was enough to glve us second tn the state track meet 440 RELAY TEAM Gordon Speer Skmny Whrtener Donme Myers Hollrs Naqum
