Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was founded at Howard University in 1914, by the Noble and Honorable brothers A.L. Taylor, C.I. Brown, and L.F. Morris. Under the motto “Culture and Service for Humanity”, the fraternity has grown with graduate and undergraduate chapters nationwide. The Barber-Scotia chapter was founded in 1981.
