FOIlEWORIl Baraboo lligh School means more than the place where we spend six hours a day. nine months a yearg more than the place that sponsored the clubs and activities we have enjoyed so muchg more than the place that laid the foundation for the happy friendships and pleasant memories we will never forget. Quoting Mr. XVillson's message, published when our school was pictured in the Xlilwaukee Sentinel. we can best show why Baraboo High School holds our deeply-rooted affection: Baraboo High School exists for one primary PIII'- pose: To help each student become an effective individual in the democratic life of the community. capable of standing on his own feet and meeting his obligations squarely, intelligently, concerned with the rights of others. honest and courageous in his support of the things he deems right. The 1950 Xlinncwaukan Stall' hopes to present a one-year story in words and pictures of the things we like about our school. the means by which Baraboo High School is achieving its purpose. We dedicate our annual to Mr. Herbert Hawkins and Mrs. Harriet Andrews. XVe feel that they especially deserve this honor: Mr. Hawkins because he has done an exceedingly fine job in preparing the boys in Manual Training for future work and Mrs. Andrews for the fine foundation she has laid in each and every seventh and eighth grade English student. The Staff wishes to thank Mr. Zarling and Mr. Mueller. josten's liing Company, Photo Engraving, Sauk County Publishing Company, Boehm Bindery, and all others who helped to make this annual possible.
