GEORGE HOVVARD. lVhen the Army Air country, Barabocfs football team suffered a severe blow. George was outstanding in the tackle position. He also excelled in track in the 440 as well as the relay. KEN LEMOTNE. A blocking quarterback deluxe. His deadly tackling had bone-crush- ing effect, sending many an opponent to the bench. Ken also won a track letter in the 100 and the 200 yard dashes. His talent is now being used by the U. S. Navy. A NICK HOLMES. A power laden, pile driv- ing fullback. VVhen there wasn't a hole to run through, Nick just plowed right on anyway. - Ile ran up 95 points to set a new conference individual scoring record. lie is a bulwark on the basketball team also. HAROLD HOLT. Habo was guard, especially useful on defense. MARK STONE. During his three football years, Mark missed scarcely a day of practice and could always be depended on to fill in, in case of injury or any other mishap. lle per- formed his job conscientiously, contributing some fine work. a stalwart Submarin- ing was his specialty and many is the time he came up from under the pile with a mouthful of dirt. the U. S. Habo now expends his talents for Army. BOB WEISKE. The football center. A bet- ter player could not be found, as Bob didn't make a bad pass all season. Dick played running guard with a sixth sense which enabled him to play the position unsurpassed throughout this foot- ball conference. llis blocks were a main fac- tor in making possible many long gains. He now does his high flying for the Army Air Force. DUANE HARMEI.. This year was the cli- max to l'uss's fine career of lligh School foot- ball at end. He has pulled down passes that many coaches would have said their boys did a good job in touching. l'uss is also a three let- ter man in basketball. BOB BACH. Louie, one of l3araboo's out- standing players had hard luck this year, break- ing his collarbone early in the football season. ln order to redeem himself he came back strong- ly on the basketball court as one of the most valuable men. DAVID HOLADAY. Dave played reserve tackle during the first four games of the sea- so11. VVith the departure of men to the service Dave was called upon to fill the assignment ol regular tackle. He did this and the results were excellent. GRANT B UELOVV. Grant was part of Bar- abools reserve strength. He played guard with a combination of speed, power, and brain which is undoubtedly the best thing to have on a foot- ball field. Ile also won his letter as a hurdler in track. IIICRH CADY. Speed was he had plenty to burn. He with a scoring spree against ning over live touchdowns points. llis speed and agility court were also of use.
