Among these are G.A.fN., Annual Stall, orchestra, and school treasurer. Charlotte would be happy with a bowl of chili, hot Fudge sundae, and records by Tommy Dorsey, sentimental gentleman of swing. Greer Garson is her favorite actress and pale blue her favorite color. Her pet peeve is an amateur on the violin. Runner up, George Arndt, does not devote all his time to study- ing. l-le has been an ardent supporter, as well as the treasurer, of the Barateen, a club for students. Like most men he likes a nice thick steak but for the duration George will settle for spaghetti. George is definitely not a long hair as he prefers Sammy Kaye and swing to the classics. Tennis, bowling, and pool occupy most of his spare time. Brown is his favorite color and Pat Q'Brien, his favorite actor. Harry James and his sweet trumpet are tops with Bob although Glen Miller runs a close second. lncidentally, light blue is his favorite color and Mr. Smith his pet peeve. As time goes by, Martha Felgen will be remembered as the lovely Queen of the Prom of '43. Marty's idea of paradise is a gleaming dish ol orange sherbet and a night ol dancing to the music of Harry James. Her favorite color is yellow while John Payne holds First place as a leading man. For the First clays the poor Sophomores were lost among tradition and custom. Soon, however, they found that they were rapidly becoming a part ol the Senior l-ligh student body, and ceased to lose themselves between classes. The Senior High ollers many extra-curricular activities, almost all ol which have a place lor Sophomores. Only a lew ol these are available to Freshmen. Now the Soph's have a chance to distinguish themselves. This year the ollicers lor the Sophomore Class are: President, l'larolcl Piercei Vice- President, June Schilstrai Secretary, Dorothy Campbelli and 'l'reasurer,'0tto Baumgarten. Mr. l'leinze is the class advisor. This was unusual as all their ollicers were boys. Jane Morton and Lloyd Schaefer are the Student Council Repre- sentatives and Miss Evert is their advisor. Last year the choir received a First place rating at the music tournament, and again this year they were featured in the Christmas concert which was etfectively and beautifully given. The boys and girls work hard and.long, but their efforts are amply rewarded by the enthusiasm which their appearances receive. The thirty-six members are chosen from the boys and girls glee clubs and no one is eligible for A Cappella unless he or she is from one of those groups. They meet every Monday and Wednesday during the sixth period under the capable direction of Miss l-laslanger. The choir is organized around the following officers: President, George Howard, Vice President, Mary Green- halgh, Secretary, Phyllis Zimmerly, Student Council Repre- sentative, Carol l-lirschinger, and Librarian, Betty Stanley.
