Incoming Dc.n's Message IT'S NOT EITHER-OR Some people falsely pit theological education against spirituality. This is extremely dangerous. It is like trying to decide which leg is more important for walking! The truth of the matter is that we need both legs for walking. Some people suggest that it would be better to spend ten minutes on their knees than ten hours in their books. However, even better would be ten hours in their books on their knees! It's not either-or. I trust that your seminary experience shall be spent both in your books and on your knees. Spirituality and study are not incompati- ble - they are companions. My prayer is that you will cultivate both spirituality and study to the fullest while here on campus. I want to be of help in both areas. - Joe C. Pendleton, Jr.

Outgoing Dean's Message My, how the time has flown since our family pulled out of Jacksonville last December 19th! It seems like just yesterday. After so long a time, when so many friendships have been devel- oped, how can anyone say goodby '? The opportunity of serving and working with the splendid folks at BMA Seminary has truly been a blessing to me. I will always look back with pride and sat- isfaction when I think about my experiences in Jacksonville. And, I will continue to thrill as the seminary grows and goes forward in advancing God's Kingdom.
