Some call it The Strip. Others call it the main road, while some know it as the only road in town. No matter what name it is called, Rivers Avenue is Main Street for B.C.C. students. Rivers is one of the few main roads in Charleston where stu- dents can find fun, food, and tab- rics. To escape the tortures of the B.C.C. Dining Hall, many students have been known to slip off campus to enjoy the flavor of real cooked food, almost like Mom makes. Oth- er attractions include respectable dance spots, movie theaters, and shopping centers. Even if a student does not want to buy anything, Riv- ers Avenue is a place to visit or to just get away.
