A STUDENT GUIDE TC Baptist College A ANNEX The Women's Annex has proven to be a successful housing alternative for the increasing number of women students coming to BCC. Through extra effort and the willingness of students to turn a potential problem into a challenge, the unit has become a pleasant place to live. B BICYCLES You freeze in the winter and burn up in the summer. People always make comments about how strong your legs look. Dogs love you, and hills and bumps always seem to be in your way. But bicycle riding is fun and seems to be catching on at BCC. C CAMPUS CUPS Security is assured on our BCC campus by our own campus cops. They keep order on campus and best of all, they let you in the dorm when you come in late. CONCERTS One of the biggest activities on campus is a concert. The SCA did a great job of planning concerts. The year began with The Dean Scott Show entertaining on La- bor Day. The SCA also brought Iosh White, Loggins and Messina, and the promise of more concerts later on. 2 if K . 4 gi 5 4 1 A Q tt' a H 2' it ' 5 W is Y N... 'ffl' 1 5-1-It A 1240 is Ci? CONVQCATION Each Wednesday, almost every Baptist College student, piles to the gym for convocation. A schedule of events for the coming week is reviewed before the program. Stu- dents work hard to provide an interesting speaker or group. Political candidates, evangelists, singing groups, and various BCC students have provided the programs. D DATING Man, it's been so long since I had a date, I've forgotten what to say. Wonder if I look all right? What if she's a dog? Ifll kill my roommate for lining me up with her. Maybe, if everything goes right .... DCRM LIFE Upon entering college, most students have a big adjust- ment to make. They have to move from their cozy room to a large building full of people. Signing in and out be- comes a necessity for the women, while the men pretty well come and go as they please. Comradeship does de- velop in dorms, and why not? When you live with some- body who sees your good and bad sides, you either love 'em or hate 'em-or a little bit of both. E EATING Eating is a battle to get a large helping of something good at a cheap price. This sometimes presents a prob- lem. Meals at BCC are rarely dull, however. During the course of a meal you're bound to drop something or find something that shouldn't be there. If you're lucky, it won't be moving. F F RATERN ITIES Fraternities are very popular around BCC because they offer a break from the dull monotony of school. The so- cial life of many students centers around fraternity par- ties. Night life is stressed and all fraternities enjoy getting together for a party. 3
