Wholeheartedly supported by an enthusiastic student body, the 1965-66 team opposed junior colleges, freshman schools, and varsity squads. The Buccaneers were led throughout the year by their captain and center, Jim Gardner. Even though the team was known as the Mwandering Buccaneersu because of no practice facili- ties of their own, the record set was 13 wins and 7 losses. With anticipated im- provement of this tremendous group the basketball future of Baptist College is in- deed very bright. Nowhere was there more enthusiasm expressed, more whole-hearted, voluntary effort expended. The department was well coached, well organized and astonishingly successful for such a fledgling school. -w . .. I ' 1-1 Z ,.
