Il8 1 T Officers Organized May 19, 1960, with twenty charter members, the Forensic Society has as its purpose the stimulation of interest and participation in debate, discussion, impromptu and extemporane- ous speaking, oratory, oral interpretation and related speech ac- tivities in a well-rounded, Christ-centered program. The officers of the organization are as follows: Jerry Golding, Presidentg Jerry Schipper, Vice Presidentg Barbara Brown Cramer, Secretary-Treas- urerg and Historian, Sally McCormick. This small but determined group began its fall program with a kick-off party on October 15 at the home of the advisor, Ross Gearhart. Planning to engage eventually in intercollegiate speech tournaments, the group in the succeeding months adopted a con- stitution, visited speech tournaments on other campuses, and en- gaged in special speech activities on campus.
