gridiron tactics prove fruitless against opposing national power The Patriots won the big one. Wentworth Military Academy proved to be the gridders first and only victory this seasonp and the victory was impressive. At the end of the first half the Patriots were behind 12-6 as a result of missed Wentworth received the ball, and after a few plays was forced to punt. Safety, Howard lVlartin, fielded the punt and raced 55 yards for another Patriot score. Later in the fourth quarter, Roger Holland ran a counter play sparked by tackles and fumbles. Whatever Gary Emery and Coach Taylor said at halftime spurred the Patriots on in the second half. Taking the kickoff to our own 32 year line, the Patriots began to move. Two quick plays up the middle netted big yardage and a first down. Then Quarterback Larry Casillas for 32 yards and another touchdown. The final score was BBC 26 - Wentworth 12: one of the best games in the school's football history. With the experience gained last season Coach Taylor feels the team will be improved next fullback John Sexton scampered 38 yards for a touchdown. SSHSOFI.
