, E What tremendous struggles have been waged in the valley of lVlegiddo by the Egyptians, Syrians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Romans, and even Napolean Bonaparte. The most recent battle fought at this crossroads was the victory of General Allenby and the British over the Turks in 1914. But, of course, Armageddon is of greatest interest to the Christian because of what is going to take place there in the future. The war to end all wars will be fought on this ancient battlefield when the King of Kings comes down from Heaven to destroy the armies of the antichrist in the climatic battle of the campaign of Armageddon lRevelation 19l. Then on to Jacob's well where a cool, refreshing drink was drawn out of the yet worthy well. On the curb of this well sat the Savior with the Samaritan woman. She had only a short distance to walk back into Sychar to tell her former companions in sin, Come see a man who told me all things whatsoever l did. Finally the travelers descended to the lowest spot on earth, the Dead Sea. ln 1954, the chemical and mineral value was estimated at one trillion, eight hundred billion dollars. Right above the Sea are the caves of Oum Flhan where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered by a shepherd boy who was searching for his lost lamb. There was so much to see, to hear, to taste, and to feel. No one who visited the Holy Land will ever be able to read his Bible, pray, or sing without recalling the memories of Today I walked where Jesus walked! In-....,,, in memory ofthe arab and israel war!

Christ's childhood home was in Nazareth. lt seemed as if progress had stopped with his earthly generation. lVlules roamed the streets, led by their masters, adorned in robes with scarves covering their heads. The little shops laden with everything from candy and nuts to tapestry and souvenirs enticed the rushing group. But, of course, there were pictures to be taken of lVlary's well, the Baptist day school, and Joseph's carpenter shop. Then on to the Jordon River where two of the more illustrious members of the troop half-drowned each other and had to drip-dry for the rest of the day! Boats were then taken to Capernaum, the second home of the Savior and the home of Simon Peter. The ancient synagogue and ruins still stand intact. , , , ,ee t ,,ttt, at eww M , xg g ., ,.., ., . 4. rpm, Q ,
