fine arts club Christian drama? Why, the name itself was a paradox! Few Christians had anything to do with dramatics and drama previously had been anything but Christian. Church plays immediately brought to mind a Christmas play, complete with Nlary, Joseph and the three kings, or an Easter pageant where primary boys with freshly scrubbed faces were cast as angels and arrayed in starched white gowns. The Fine Arts Club put an end to that idea of drama. The Club began to prove again and again that it was indeed possible to glorify the name of Christ through the medium of the stage. Scores of people have come to a saving knowledge of Christ by hearing the messages presented in its plays. departments and hundreds of BBC students have been given the opportunity to use their natural talents for the Lord. The success of the Club in helping to change old attitudes toward dramatics in the church is reflected in the sudden rise in the number of Fellowship churches producing full-scale dramas as another means of presenting Christ to the lost. Many have attended these church plays not realizing that they were going to hear the Gospel. The plays presented this year were The Robe of the Galilean, Scrooge, and Once to Die. All were eagerly attended by an audience who could not help but walk away each time with a favorable, though-provoking impression. The student participants gave their all to provide a message in the form of Christian drama.
