ROW THREE: Arthur Villalobos, Judy Butler, Beth Coombs, Laura Little, Triny Ortega, Monica Garcia, Julian Quinones, Ce. The purpose of the Chicano Youth Organization is to give the Chicanos of Banning High School the recognition they deserve. This year's goal was to raise enough money to give to the most active Chicano senior in Banning High. Members also planned activities in which everyone could participate. Club officers were: Victor Ramos - President, Beverly Villalobos - Vice President, RoseMarie Ramos - Secretary, Yolanda Garcia - Treasurer, and Sam Enriquez - Sergeant of Arms. C.Y.O. Members give their thoughts and thanks to Mr. Escobar and Mr. Lamm, their advisors. ROW FOUR: Mr. Escobar, Mr. Lamm, Bantu This year there were approximately 45 members in Bantu; the officers were as follows: President - Steve Simpson, Vice President - Debbie Biggers, Secretary - Heidi Hill, The Trust Fund - Debbie Wilson, Reporter - Latina Freeman. Bantu Club President, Steve Simpson, likes a lot of ex- citement, and therefore had alot of ideas for Bantu, This year Bantu had a great start, with a record hop that was very successful. This year, Model United Nations became the operative branch of History Club. Each spring, a MUN Conferene is held at U.C. Riverside. The members of our MUN attended this confer- ence and used their powers of persuasion and diplomacy to sway the opinions of the other delegates. 30
