Foreign Exchange Students From Greece December the 5th, 1971 was the first time that I got interested in AFS and from there on I enjoyed learning about that great organization. It was really neat to get accepted as an AFS student. Someone that hasn't been an AFS er coul dn't realize how important and great it is. Although I applied in December, I didn't know I was coming until July 21st, This was the first time I heard the name Banning and I was wonder- ing what its people looked like, but after [had come it didn't take me a long time to find out that it was a really beautiful town with the nicest people. How nice and great a chance for an AFSer to live in Banning among all those nice and really friendly people! All the experiences that I had in Banning and the city of Banning will re- main in my mind forever and ever... Ada Giokatzi From Brazil After Ihave left Brazil and before I had arrived here, Ihad many ideas and thoughts about how my new life would be. Banning, a city with mountains on its side, with sunshine in the summer and snow in the winter, gave me the opportunity to have always a nice view to see, The people, nice and friendly, made me always feel happy. My family and my friends gave me the chance to have a great experience of life, The American Field Service gave me the opportunity to know and feel what friendship is all about and of what great value it is for the life, and I have got the chance to know myself better, too, Now, Ihave got a lot to thank them for this great year I had in my life, I am sure I will not forget them. They dis- cuss and vote on these bills. If the bill passes, it goes to Student Council, and then ends up at the school board.
