Banning High School owes a great deal to Mr. Rose. It is due to his ef- forts al one that we have the video tape program. It was also Mr. Rose who developed the team teaching idea and helped turn it into a reality. Mr. Rose has taken over the responsibility of conducting, and providing for two top quality dark rooms. Whenever there is a project you will always find Mr. Rose involved -- especially if it's for the stu- dents. He is the main reason Banning High School has many programs, proj- ects and facilities that other schools lack. But above all, he is ALWAYS there to help us when we need someone. IN DEDICATION Mr. Rose is an exception- ally devoted teacher. He con- Stantly strives to stimulate the student to ask questions, par- ticipate in discussions, and in- volve themselves. He spends | late hours at night planning, probing and searching for new ways to make the subjects in- teresting to his students. He strongly believes that if a stu- dent can see both sides to an issue and become involved they will have a much better under- Standing of it. His family life centers around his wife and two small children. It is very important to them to do things together and their favorite pastime is camping anywhere from the desert to the mountains. Dur- ing leisure hours at home he ( enjoys taking pictures of his family and their activities. Photography is his favorite hobby and he also instructs a photography class at BHS. His interest in photography began when he received his first cam- era while in second grade. He continued to pursue this hobby Mr. Michael Rose in high school and college. Mr. Rose attended Chaffey Jr. College for two years and then transferred to the University of Redlands. He graduated in 1962 and in 1967 earned his Master's degree. While at Redlands he was active in debate and was on the yearbook staff. At the present, he is continuing his studies at the University of California at Riverside. 2 Dedication

FOREWORD There are many doorways in life to pass through. Some doors may lead to success and fortune while others to failure and despair, nevertheless, it is only up to us to open the doors. It is as students, that we first realize the many choices we have to make our life what it is and what it will be.
