The fifteenth annual Invita - tional Basketball Tournament was held December 18-21. The tourney was initiated in 1953 by the coaches of the then, Riverside County League. Originally, there were only eight teams; now there are six- teen. The sixteen teams are invited to play in the four day tournament. The four days are needed because the C.1.F. rules prohibit any high school team from playing more than one regulation-length game a day.
