The members of this club participated in money-making activities throughout the year so they could bring foreign students to our school. A.E.S. : A.E.S. FOREIGN STUDENTS Our foreign student Minerva Alicera was born in Santiago, Chile, on December 12, 1944. Her father is a mechanic and her mother is an elementary school teacher. Her country is the narrowest and longest country of the world. Minerva stated quite emphatically, that Chile has no jungle and no wild people. Minerva enjoys classical music as much as Ivan does although ‘West Side Story’’ seems to have most of her attention at the time. Minerva has participated in many sports in her country and has continued to do so here. She lives with Mr. Mrs. Don Watson. MINERVA ALICERA Ivan Volterra, our boy foreign student, was ! born on May 20, 1944 in Ancora, Italy. His parents live in Rome where his father is an accountant. Ivan said he was greatly impressed by the friendliness of everyone in America. i Popular records would be a thing of the past if all teen-agers were like Ivan; he would rath- er listen to classical music than hurt his ears on the music his teen-age friends enjoy. Ac- cording to lvan our school system is better than that in Italy. We have extra-curricular activities while his school didn’t. American food was no problem as Ivan became adjusted to it soon after arriving here. Ivan is living with Mr. Mrs. William Eaton during his stay in America. 73 IVAN VOLTERRA Sa BELOW BAND There’s the sound of music in the air. Well naturally, here comes the Bronco Band marching up to the football field for another game. We are very grateful for the loyalty of this group throughout the year. MAJORETTES A flash of silver and a hearty “Catch it quick’’ from the head majorette means the majorettes are marching again. These four girls made our games and parades very interesting.
