You are well aware of the fact that you are living in an age of atomic power, supersonic speed, television, and miracle drugs. It is a marvelous but over- whelming era, and young people who are on the threshold of adult life need to be thoroughly prepared for the challenging future. We who have guided you through the past four years hope that your school has helped you to gain wisdom which will enable you to adjust readily and to be an efficient and productive factor in the infinite future. Although scientific accomplishment is great, simple basic truths of life—such as the golden rule, will never be outmoded. So it is also hoped that you have gained much from school which will help you to live and work with other people in a most congenial way. May your future be prosperous and happy! Earle B. When you look four years into the future it appears to be a long time; when you look back four years it often seems like only yesterday. Hence the recordings of this book, captured in photo and print, take on meaning in keeping with your position in school. As a senior you will look to this book for fond memories of high school days. As an under-classman you may look upon this San Gorgonian as a record of events to expect, plan for, and enjoy. It is only natural that you look at things not as they are, but as you are. In any event you will find recorded here the pleasant memories of your high school days. As time marches on, these memories will become more rea! and more meaningful. Youth is wonderful but you can't make it a career. Nevertheless, you can reminisce. Not even time can pre- vent the enjoyment of your high school memories.
