We admire the courage of the present San Gorgonian staff in working harder when the task is more difficult. The San Gorgonian for the school year of 1947-1948 is a thing of beauty and should be a joy forever. All the accumulated skill of the printers, writers, artists and skilled artisans has gone into this book. Hundreds and thousands cf painstaking hours have been spent in its preparation. Everything is so well done that any one of these books could be handed down from generation to generation. Ow S Keyboard Comparable to the performance of a keyboard is the work of the school board, which creates and directs the policy of the school. In the same way that a keyboard is the agency that enables the piano to function properly, this group of public- spirited citizens is the guiding power behind the school’s prog: ress and growth. The members of the school board are men and women who give freely of their time in order that Banning Union High School will be better able to serve both the stu- dents and the public.
