MR. GEORGE WHITE Our number one coach, “Shorty While, has taught for nine years. He attended Jacksonville Slate College and Auburn University and has received both his B.S. and M.A. Degrees. Hr is interested in helping boys develop physically and mentally. MR. JERRY WHITE .Mr. White, our shop teacher has taught for five years. He attended Mississippi State University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree. He is working on a M.A. Degree at the University of Alabama He is interested in all sports. MR. JAMES DAVIS Our band director. Mr. Davis, taught at Oak Grove High School for one year before coming to Banks. He attended Howard College and received a B.S. Degree. He is interested in hunting and guns. MR. BENNY RUSSELL Mr. Russell, our choir director has taught for four years, lie attended Howard College and has received a B.A. of Music Education Degree. Poodles and picture are his hobbies. MRS. BESSIE LEWIS Our Librarian, Mrs. Ijewis, has worked with schools for eighteen years. She attended Birmingham Southern whore site receiver! her A.B. Degree and Emory University where she received her A.B. Degree in Library Science. Gardening is her hobby. MRS. JUANITA BLUE Mrs. Blue is our assistant Librarian. She has worked with schools for four years. She has many interests including sewing, cooking, reading and gardening. MRS. STOKES— 11 earl Dietitian MRS. MR. ROBERT SIMMONS Mr. Simmons has taught biology an l coached the Freshman Foot ball Team for three years here at Banks. He graduated from the University of Alabama where he received both his B.S. anti M.A. Degrees. He is interested in all sports. MISS SUE SMITH This is Miss Smith’s fir-t year to teach geometry and algebra. She attended Alabama College where she received her B.S. Degree. Her interest is drag racing. MBS. DIANNE ULCH Tins is Mrs. Ulrh’s second year to teach English here at Banks. She graduated from Troy State College where she receiver! her B.S Degree. Reading, sewing, and cooking are her interests. MRS. JEAN VAUGHN Mrs. Vaughn has taught Spanish mid English for one year. She attended the Universities of Mexico and Miami where she receiver! her B.A. Degree. Her hobbies are music and dancing. MISS JANNIS ROSA This is Miss Rosa’s first year to teach math and physical educe lion. She attended Alabama College where she received her B.S Degree. Sports and sewing are her hobbies. MRS. MARY SWEEPS •Mrs. Shields, who leaches biology, luis taught for a total of eigh years. She attended Tarkio College in Tarkio. Missouri where shi receiver! her B.A. Degree. MRS. WII.I.K STIFF Mrs. Slief is one of our English teachers. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College where she received her B.A. and M.A. Degrees. Her hnhhie- are reading, oil and china painting, music, and fishing. MR. ROBERT THOMPSON This is Mr. Thompson’s fourth year as a math teacher here at Bunks. He gr.yluated from Birmingham-Southern where he received his B.S. Degree. Tape recording and gardening are his hobbies. MRS. GRACE L. WAITS Mrs. Waits, who says that she has taught for one hundred and nine years, teaches English. She attended the University of Alabama and George Peabody College and has receiver! both her B.S. and M.A. Degrees. Photography and growing flowers arc her hobbies. MRS. MU WEEKS Our art teacher. Mrs. Well , ha- taught for sixteen years. Shr attended the Universities of Denver and Alabama and has received a B.F.A. and M.A. Degrees. Collecting old jewelry, pressed glass and stercopticon slides are her hobbies.
