MR. ROBERT SIMMONS Mr. Simmons has taught biology an l coached the Freshman Foot ball Team for three years here at Banks. He graduated from the University of Alabama where he received both his B.S. anti M.A. Degrees. He is interested in all sports. MISS SUE SMITH This is Miss Smith’s fir-t year to teach geometry and algebra. She attended Alabama College where she received her B.S. Degree. Her interest is drag racing. MBS. MRS. JEAN VAUGHN Mrs. Vaughn has taught Spanish mid English for one year. She attended the Universities of Mexico and Miami where she receiver! her B.A. Degree. Her hobbies are music and dancing. WII.I.K STIFF Mrs. Slief is one of our English teachers. She graduated from Birmingham-Southern College where she received her B.A. and M.A. Degrees. WAITS Mrs. Waits, who says that she has taught for one hundred and nine years, teaches English. She attended the University of Alabama and George Peabody College and has receiver! both her B.S. and M.A. Degrees. Photography and growing flowers arc her hobbies. MRS. MU WEEKS Our art teacher. MR. JOHN McCLURE Mr. McClure, our physics teacher, has taught for five years. Hr attended the University of Alabama, where he received his B.S. and M.A. Degrees. His interests are -.ports and science. MRS. GAY McNAIR This is Mrs. McNair’s fourth year to teach biology at Ranks. She attended Livingston State College where she received her B.S. Degree. Horseback riding and playing bridge arc her hobbies. MR. JOHN POINTER Mr. Pointer, who has taught for eight years here at Ranks, teaches government. American History, and senior science. He graduated from the University of Alabama where he received both his R.S. and M.A. Degrees, MISS ANNA PRAYTOR Miss Praytor lias taught English for many years. WILLARD MAULDIN Mrs. Mauldin, who has taught for many years, teaches home economics, foods, and family living. She attended Alabama College where she received her R.S. Degree. GLADYS RAWLS Mrs. Rawls, who has taught for thirty-five years in Birmingham, leaches American History and government. She attended Sophie Newcomb College where die received her A.B. Hr is interested in helping boys develop physically and mentally. MR. JERRY WHITE .Mr. White, our shop teacher has taught for five years. He attended Mississippi State University where he graduated with a B.S. Degree. He is working on a M.A. Degree at the University of Alabama He is interested in all sports. MR. JAMES DAVIS Our band director. Mr. Davis, taught at Oak Grove High School for one year before coming to Banks. He attended Howard College and received a B.S. Degree.
