MISS ANN COCHRAN Miss Cochran, who teaches English, has taught for four years here at Banks. She was graduated from Birmingham-Southern College, where she received a B.A. Degree. She likes to read and listen to music, and occasionally, play the piano. MISS JANE DRINKARD Miss Drinkard teaches Kngiish and is the sponsor of the CONTRA 115 STAFF. She has taught for one year in Georgia and three here in Birmingham. She attended the University of Hawaii and the University of Alabama where she received her B.S. Degree. MRS. MARILYN FRANKS Mrs. Franks has taught for fourteen years and is now teaching at Banks. She attended New Mexico Stale University where she received her B.S. Degree, and the University of Tennessee where she received her M.S. Degree. Her hobbies are reading and sewing. MR. WILLIE FRY Mr. Fry, a Spanish teacher, has taught for a total of fifteen years. He went to the University of Alabama where he received his B.A. Degree and his M.A. Degree and his advanced degree in Education. His hobbies are reading and woodwork. MR. CARL CALVERT Mr. Calvert, who teaches us chemistry, has taught for a total of eighteen years. His interests are gardening and horseback-riding. MISS JOY CLARK Miss Clark, who teaches history and economics, taught at Enslcy for two years before coming to Banks. She attended Southwestern at Memphis; Huntington, where she received her B.A. Degree; and the University of Chattanooga, where she did gradunte work. MISS MARTHA DRIVER Miss Driver is teaching Science for the first time. She received her B.S. Degree at the University of Alabama. Her interests include watching television, playing tennis, and reading. MISS ROSA ELLIOTT Miss Elliott, who teaches English, is teaching for the first time. She attended the University of Alabama where she received her B.S. Degree. Swimming and attending concerts are her interests. MRS. EDNA CALLOWAY Mrs. Galloway has taught for a total of sixteen years. She is now teaching Latin. She received her B.A. Degree at Howard College and will receive her M.A. Degree from the University of Alabama this summer. Her interests are flowers, sewing, and traveling. MRS. MARIE GIBBS Mrs. Gibbs, an English teacher, taught fof three years in Gadsden before coming to Banks. She went to the University of Alabama and Jacksonville State where she received her B.S. Degree. Her hobby is collecting rocks.

MRS. MILDRED BAILEY Mrs. Bailey leaches business education to many of our future business leaders. She has taught in Jefferson County and Birmingham schools for ten years. She attended Howard College where she received her B.S. Degree. MISS BRENDA BEARD Miss Beard is teaching History her second year here at Banks. The University of Alabama is ber Alma Mater. She received her B.S. Degree there. Painting is one of her interests. MR. WILLIAM BRAZF.AL Mr. Brazcal has taught here at Banks for four years. He received hb B.S. Degree at the University of Alabama. His hobbies arc tennis and swimming. He tenches History. MRS. DEAL BUTLER Mrs. Butler, who has taught for twelve years, teaches Physical Education. She received her B.S. Degree at Florence State and her M.A. Degree at Alabama College. MRS. RUTH ADAMS Mrs. Adams, who received her B.S. Degree from Howard College, teaches chemistry. She has taught at several different schools for a total of ten years. Her interests include travel, scouts, and church work. MISS DIANE ASHLEY Miss Ashley has taught English at Banks for three years. She went to the University of Alabama where she received her B.S. Degree. Her interests arc music and reading. MRS. I.OIS BOWIE Mrs. Bowie, an English teacher, received her B.S. Degree at Jacksonville State and her M.A. Degree at the University of Alabama. Her interests include music, teaching in church school, and rending. MR. MONTE BRAKEF1F.LD Mr. Brakefield teaches Latin and senior science. He has taught here for four years. He received his B.A. Degree at Birmingham-Southern College. Golf is his hobby. COACH WILLIAM BURGESS Coach Burgess has taught two years at Rinks. He received his B.S. Degree at Auburn. Hunting and fishing are hb interests. MR. JAMES CALDWELL Mr. Caldwell, who teaches Mathematics, has taught in Birmingham for three years. He works part-time at the Boy’s Club, teaching swimming, lifesaving, and first aid. 15

MRS. NANCY IjOU GRAVES Mrs. Graves (aught at Coulwood Junior High in Charlotte, North Carolina for one year before coming to Hanks. She received her B.S. Degree at Fast Tennessee State University. This math teacher's hobbies are sewing, knitting, and playing the organ. MR. DON GRF.F.N Mr. Green is teaching physical education and civic for his first year. He received his B.S. Degree at Howard College and his M.A. Degree at the University of Alabama. He enjoys hunting and fishing. MRS. IRENE HENDRICKS A supply teacher for eight years. Mrs. Hendricks liegnn teaching English at Banks this car. She attended the University of Arizona, and Birmingham-Southern College, where she received her A.B. Degree. Sewing, knitting, playing bridge, and church library work are her hobbies. MISS VIRGINIA HODGES Miss Hodges, who i teaching for her first lime, teaches bookkeeping, business law. and tvping. She attended Auburn I niversity where she received her B.S. Degree. Her hobbies are water skiing, knitting, and reading. MISS KATHERINE HARRISON Our favorite teacher. Miss Harrison, teaches us history. She has taught for four years. She attended the University of Alabama where she received her B.S. Degree in Education. Her hobbies are skiing and art. MRS. ELIZABETH HATCH One of the busiest teachers around Bank is Mr . Hatch. As one of the girls physical education teachers, -hr work- with the Cheerleaders, the 6” Club, the swim team, and the tennis team. She attended the University of Alabama where she received her B.S. Degree. MISS CHARLOTTE HOLLAND Mi— Holland, an English teacher, is beginning her third year her at Banks. She went to Judson College, where -In- received her B. A Degree. Her interests are sewing, reading, music, and cooking. MRS. BARBARA JARBOE Mrs. Jarhoe taught for two year- at tin- Lnivcr-it of Mi—ouri one year in Saint Iamis. and six years at Ramsay. She is teaching French this year. She went to the Uxdvenitv of Alabama and th» University of Mi—ouri and ha- rceei ed both a B.S. Degree ami t M.A. Degree. MISS DELLA GRIFFIN Before coming to Banks. Miss Griffin taught at Saint Clair County High School. She received her A.B. Degree at Howard College. She teaches American history and economics. Her interests include reading, cooking, and a desire for knowledge. MR. GEORGE HANI.IN Mr. Hunlin has taught for a total of nine years: two years at Warrior High School, one year at Woodlawn, and six years at Bank.-. He teaches ninth. He has received both a B.S. Degree and a M.A. Degree after attending Howard College and Auburn University. Mr. Hanlin enjoys sports.
