We, the graduating class of 1942, wish to offer our thanks and appreciation for the untiring efforts and encouragement of our adviser, Mr. Charles De Haven. Class Molto - Eternal Vigilance is the Price of Liberty. Class Colors - Grey and Garnet. Class Flower - Red Carnation, Class Symbol - The American Flag. Senior Class History Contrary to the usual custom we organizcd our freshman class with the largest enrollment ever known in the history of Bangor High School, Our social events for that year were a skating party and a memorable Halloween party, During our sophomore year we saw more participation in clubs and became accustomed to the gayiety of extra-curricular activities. Another party entertainment consisted of a balloon basketball game, a treasure hunt and relay races. Things really began to happen in our junior year for now we were to start our reign of successes. A Thanksgiving dance, which turned out to be a gala event. attracted hundreds of people. When the new class rings started Hashing we began to realize how near at hand our Junior Banquet was. On May 23 our big moment had at last come. Will our teachers ever forget those colorful kerchiefs? Our senior dance was held on Thanksgiving and the spotlight was focused on Indian motif. On April 9 and 10, What A Life the Senior play was presented in the high school audi- torium and once again our co-operation resulted in a great success. The class gift, consisting of lighting fixtures for six rooms in the old building, was accepted with gratitude by the School Board. Then came the grand finale of our high school days. the Senior Banquet held at Buck Hill lnn on May 1, 1942. Without realizing it our four years had come to an end. TEN fmxfg
