We, the graduating class of 1976, look back on our past accomplishments, triumphs, and downfalls experienced through our four years at Bangor High School, beginning in the fall of 1972. Under the super-vision of our freshman class advisors, Mr. and Mrs. Schlies, we started off our first year by electing class officers as follows: Pres.--Paul Schaller, Vice Pres.--Todd Hesselberg, Sec.--Gwen Watson, and Treas.--Keith Pierce. Our Student Council representatives were Sandra Kastenschmidt, Pam Garves, Paul Dwyer and John Wolf. Gwen Watson and Gregg Roberts repre- sented our class for the Basketball Homecoming Court. The Snow Frolic court gave our class a chance to be represented by Sandra Kastenschmidt and Todd Hesselberg. The first year was tough for most, yet we acquired a kind of determination to help us enter our sophmore year with the guidance of Mrs. Schaller and Mr. Ranous, our new class officers were chosen. Todd Hesselberg was elected President, with Brian Clements as Vice-Pres.--Julie Hessel- berg as Sec. and Beth Gollnik as Treas. This year's student council members consisted of Gwen Watson, Pam Garves, Paul Schaller and Paul Dwyer. Basketball Homecoming representatives were Nancy Kastenschmidt and Dave Langrehr. With Mr. Ranous and Mrs. Schaller as instructors, our sophmore class took over the wheel, leaving others more cautious on the roads than before. Receiving class rings and sponsoring a Junior Prom were the two main events in our Junior year. With the theme of Morning Is Broken, Pam Garves and Dave Langrehr were crowned queen and king, Gwen Watson and Gregg Roberts, Tammy Cooper and Kevin Stach, Julie Hessel- berg and Brian Clements, Darlene Meade and Todd Hesselberg made up the rest of Prom court. Class officers for our Junior year were, Pres.--Brian Clements, Vice Pres.--Julie Hesselberg, Sec.--Darlene Meade, and Treas.--Todd Hesselberg. Mr. Olson and Mrs. Sieber were our class advisors. We elected Nancy Kastenschmidt, Paul Schaller, Gwen Watson and John Wolf to repre- sent our class in this year's student council. Lynette Simpson and Kevin Beron reigned on the Basketball Homecoming Court for the 1974-1975 school year. Pam Garves was Bangor High School's delegate at Badger Girl's State, while Paul Schaller and John Wolf participated at Badger Boy's State. Finally, the fall of 75 came into reach for this class, and our senior year began with Gwen Watson as President fthe age of women libersl, Pam Garves as Vice-Pres., Beth Gollnik as Sec., and Julie Hesselberg as Treas. Our final year saw Nancy Kastenschmidt as Student Council Pres., with Gregg Roberts, John Wolf and Darlene Meade as the other class representatives. For our Sen- ior year, we were priviledged enough to have as advisors: Mr. Toloken, Mr. Olson, Mr. Rasmussen and Mrs. Sieber. Charles Arentz and Nancy Kastensmidt reigned as king and queen for the 1975 Football Homecoming with attendants--Rick Mikshowsky with Julie Hesselberg, Mike Wuensch with Liz Kneifl, and Gregg Roberts and Gwen Watson, with the theme of Til the World Ends. Senior Representatives for Basketball Homecoming were Queen Kathy Nicolai and King Mike Wuensch and Beth Gollnik and Paul Schaller. The theme was Stairway to Heaven. The Senior class sponsored a Christmas Dance with the theme Home for the Holidays. Queen-Jolene Cavadini and King-Roger Johnson, Peggy Danielson and John Wolf Represented the Seniors in this special event. Our last year came to a finish in the Bicentennial year on May 23, 1976.
