NEW UNIFORMS HIGHLIGHT BAND PROGRESS THIS YEAR Bangor's Marching Band, clad in new tailor-made uniforms, high-stepped its way through one of its most successful seasons under the direction of Mr. Roger Thompson. The band presented marching routines at every home football game and at the Galesburg contest played at Kalamazoo 's Angell Field. At Western, during the annual Band Day, the band depicted the story of the Three Little Pigs. Aside from these marching appearances, the band prepared and gave to a capacity crowd in the new gym a special Christmas concert with the chorus. The band also participated in a mid -winter concert with the Fennville band and, later, the annual Spring concert. At Benton Harbor, the Bangor musicians entered the area Band Fes- rival, competing in the Class B competition. Through the efforts of the Bangor Band Boosters and the cooperation of the entire community, the school was able to purchase dressy blue-black uniforms complete with white cross-belts and formal-style tails. They were first displayed on the Bangor gridiron as the football season opened with a contest against Watervliet.
